This is National Small Business Week and Adrian’s Boutique has partnered with Bluebird Book Store in downtown Hutchinson to bring awareness of the benefits of shopping, eating, playing and keeping our dollars local! We are so blessed to have some OUTSTANDING businesses in our community, and Melanie Green and her family own one of them.  They have built a beautiful store and Hutchinson is so blessed to have a high quality, independent book retailer back in town!

Melanie Green and her family are the owners of this delightful new Bookstore downtown at 2 South Main in Hutchinson. They truly do believe in the power of supporting our local community and their store opens it’s doors to many fun activities for both children and adults.

From Best-Sellers to Classics, Cookbooks, Business & History Books, you’ll find it all displayed beautifully and in a very relaxing atmosphere.

Bluebird Books has a great selection of  Toddler, Children & Young Adult Literature and has Kids Book Clubs to enrich our children’s lives with books.  They are also offering Camp Bluebird for ages 8 to 12 with hands-on projects and activities from their partners at Workman Publishing.  My mother taught all of her daughters to LOVE reading at a very young age, and all five of us sisters still enjoy reading, and have passed down that love of reading to our own children.

Bluebird is offering “Seize the Summer & Seize the Book…a brand new summer reading program for readers entering grades K-8. Complete their 6 book reading challenge and claim your rewards along the way!

There’s always something going on at Bluebird…from a Mystery Book Club, to Booksignings and Student Art Receptions…You will love this breath of fresh air on the corner downtown.  I love to pop in for what should be a “quick” visit, but somehow the lure of the hundreds of books just makes me forget about my schedule!
