1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened
3/4 c. granulated sugar
8 oz. almond paste
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 tsp. baking powder
Confectioners’ sugar
Fresh berries
Grated chocolate
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Stir in almond paste, eggs, and almond extract until smooth. Combine flour and baking powder and add to mixture, blending thoroughly. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Before serving, dust with confectioners’ sugar. Garnish with fresh berries and grated chocolate.
