1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. golden syrup
1 tsp. baking powder
6 tsp. boiling water
1/2 c. melted butter
Set oven to 325°. Mix oats, sugar and flour together in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix golden syrup, baking powder and boiling water; while it’s still frothing, add melted butter and pour into dry ingredients, mix thoroughly. Drop 3 teaspoonful of the mixture onto a floured oven tray (cookie sheet). Leave enough room for the mixture to spread. Bake for 18-20 minutes, cool on a cake cooler (wire rack).
