Apple German Chocolate Cake

21 oz. can apple pie filling
1 pkg. German Chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. Hearth bar chips
caramel ice cream topping

Place pie filling in a blender; cover and process until the apples are 1/4 inch chunks. Pour into mixing bowl; add eggs and dry cake mix. Beat on medium speed for 5 minutes. Pour into greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Sprinkle with nuts and both kinds of chips. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack. Drizzle caramel sauce on it before cutting and serving. Yield 12-15 servings.
