My personal CBD Story
On Super Bowl Sunday in February of 2017, I fell backwards down our basement steps. I was trying to carry a piece of wicker furniture upstairs to organize my closet (Crazy! I know!) and the drawers started to come out and threw me off balance. As I lay waiting for help at the bottom of the steps, I knew there would be a long road to recovery, but had no idea just how long that road would be.
I had broken my heel, and deeply injured my back in the fall, and was in a cast and a wheelchair/crutches combo to move around. It was so very painful. Two weeks later, getting out of our vehicle in the rain, my crutches slipped out from under me and I fell flat on my back on the rough ground…so just 2 weeks after my first fall, the second time I broke my back.
To make a long story short, I spent almost 4 months in a wheelchair, then used a walker, and finally graduated to a cane. I am so thankful for a great family and friends that cared for me, a fabulous team here at Adrians that carried on without even a hiccup while I was gone and that I am able to walk today! However, I have had lingering side effects from the fall. I struggle with my back, especially when lying down and getting to sleep.
Fast forward to March of 2019. I had heard of CBD of course, but still thought of it in the same category as marijuana, which I wanted no part of. It wasn’t until I started reading, listening and talking to people that were using CBD that I decided to give it a try.
I wish I could say that taking CBD has completely healed my back, but it hasn’t. However, I have had a remarkable change in the pain level, and the most noticeable change has been that I am sleeping like a baby! Night after night. Amazing! I use the oil under my tongue each night about 20 minutes before going to bed. I also use the Triple Strength Cream, and have even tried the Sleepy Z’s which are a blend of CBD and Melatonin.
On Sunday, May 5, 2019, CBS Sunday Morning ran an interesting segment on the incredible Boom in CBD Products, and they interviewed the Founder of Green Roads, one of the CBD Vendors that we carry as an expert in this fast growing business. There are many CBD vendors out there and we wanted the best of the best! So glad CBS validated this!
