Cherry Angel Food Cake
1 angel food cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Stir by hand; cake mix, pie filling and almond extract until well blended. Pour into ungreased angel food cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Invert pan to cool completely before removing cake.
*Variation
20 oz can crushed pineapple
1 tsp vanilla
1 angel food cake mix
Bake at 350 degrees in a 9×13 pan for 30-35 minutes, or in a tube pan for 40-45 minutes. *Note: this variation is a good dessert for diabetics.
