Salina, Ks.
Crust:
2 sticks butter, softened
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
Beat butter until creamy. Sift together the flour, sugar and salt. Add to butter and beat until crumbly. Put 2c. into the bottom of a greased 9″ x 13″ pan. Bake 10-12 minutes in a 350F oven.
Filling:
1 c. chocolate chips
1 can of “Eagle Brand” milk
1 t. vanilla
Combine in a small pan. Stir and melt until smooth. Pour over hot crust.
Topping:
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts (optional)
The rest of crumb mixture
Stir together. Sprinkle over filling. Bake 25-30 minutes more or until center is set. Cool in pan. Cut into bars or squares. Enjoy
