Chocolate Sour Cream Cake
3 eggs
3 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. sour cream
3 3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/2 t. salt
1 c. + 2 T. boiling water
1 T baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. red food coloring (optional)
Beat eggs and sugar and beat until light and golden. Add sour cream and mix well. Sift together flour, cocoa and salt and add to the original mixture. Add baking soda to boiling water and mix well, then add to the original mixture. Mix in vanilla and food coloring. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 min. Frost with your favorite icing.
