9-inch unbaked pie shell
1/2 c. hot water
4 oz. German sweet chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. margarine
1/8 tsp. salt
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. coconut
Preheat oven to 350°. In heavy saucepan over low heat or in microwave oven melt chocolate and margarine; remove from heat. In large mixer bowl, combine milk and warm chocolate mixture; mix well. Stir in eggs, hot water, vanilla and salt; mix well. Add pecans & coconut. Pour into crust. Bake at 350° for 35-40 min. Serve warm or chilled. Refrigerate leftovers. Excellent with cream or ice cream on top.
