3 1/2 c. flour, divided
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. orange candy slices, cut up
1/2 c. dates
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
1 c. margarine
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 c. orange juice
2 c. powdered sugar
Mix together 3 c. flour and salt and set aside. Combine orange candy, dates, nuts, coconut, and remaining 1/2 c. flour. Set aside. Combine margarine, eggs, buttermilk, sugar, and soda. Mix well. Add flour and mix well. Then fold in fruits. Bake at 300° for 1/2 hour. Punch holes in the top with a meat fork. Mix orange juice and powdered sugar and pour over warm cake. Refrigerate overnight.
