Olive Garden Sangria Recipe

By Pam Rush
Salina, Kansas

Half of the recipe filled a gallon tea jug 3/4 full.  (Parenthesis is half of a recipe)

Sugar Water:
1/2 c. sugar (1/4 c.)
1/2 c. water (1/4 c.)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 Liters Red Table Wine ( 1 bottle)
1 c. Grenadine (1/2 c.)
2 c. cranberry juice cocktail (1 c.)
1  1/4 c. sweet vermouth (3/4 c.)
Strawberries, cut into thirds
Oranges, sliced thin, then quartered
crushed ice

Directions:
1. Dissolve the sugar in water in a large container (at least 1 gallon)  Will need bigger for full recipe
2. Combine the sugar water and the remaining ingredients (excluding the crushed ice)
3. Place in the refrigerator at least 4-5 hours.  If possible leave over night. Much better the 2nd day.
4. Pour mix, including fruit, into a service glass and add the crushed ice (we just put the ice in the glasses as we served it.)
ENJOY:)

Thank you Pam! Sounds refreshing!
