Scalloped Rhubarb

Ingredients:
3c. stale bread
2 c. uncooked rhubarb
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted butter or oleo
red food coloring

Directions:
Remove crust from bread and dice it in 1/2 inch pieces. Dice rhubarb in 1 inch pieces. mix together melted butter and red food coloring. add bread to butter and red food coloring and mix well. mix in sugar and rhubarb. put in greased 2 quart class baking dish. add 1 T. of water in each corner of pan. bake 45 minutes at 325. may be used as an accompaniment to the main course or as a dessert.
