6 apples, peeled and cored (Macintosh are best)
Chopped walnuts
Dried cherries
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 T. butter
Preheat oven to 350°. Alternate the walnuts and cherries to fill the center of the apples. In saucepan combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 T butter over medium heat until sugar is melted. Boil for 1 minute stirring constantly. Pour over apples and bake for 30-35 minutes. Serve with cream.
