Baked Potato Soup

12 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. flour
7 c. whole milk
4 large baked potatoes, peeled & cubed
4 green onions, chopped
1 1/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt

Melt butter and add flour. Gradually add milk, whisking until thickened.  Stir in onions and potatoes. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and heat through.
