5lbs. stew meat, cut into small chunks
1pkg. dry onion soup mix
2 bay leaves
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 quart water
Preheat oven to 300º. Combine all ingredients in a large covered casserole or Dutch oven. Stir until well blended. Bake 3 to 4 hours or until meat is tender. Serve over hot cooked rice, potatoes or buttered noodles. THis recipe freezes very well. Divide leftovers into family meal size servings and freeze for up to 3 months. Makes approximately 8 pints of braised beef.
