2 lb. hamburger
1/2 large onion, chopped
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can Tomato soup
1/4 green pepper, diced
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 – 2 tsp. chili powder, to taste
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Brown hamburger and onion until no longer pink and onions are translucent. Drain well. Place slower cooker liner in Crock Pot and place all ingredients into pot. Depending on time available, cook on low for 3 – 4 hours, or on high for 1 – 2 hours.  In a pinch, you can microwave the mixture, but be careful not to burn the cheese. Stir well and serve with tortilla chips. This is our family’s traditional Christmas Eve appetizer, but it is delicious all year around!
