I guess I’ll be like everyone else and say 200. Our favorite recipe is just plain strawberries on shortcake with cream.

I guess 200 seeds on a strawberry seems to be the correct answer! I love chocolate covered strawberries and I make a sweet little mini cupcake called a Strawberry Puffcake that tastes just like them. My family also loves Strawberry Stuffed French Toast, yummy and sweet enough to be considered a desert!

As others have done, I googled it to find out how many seeds are in one average sized strawberry. I found it interesting that all of the search results that I saw said 200 seeds. Hmmm , what if the original person that counted 200 seeds was wrong and now everyone is copying their number because they do not want to count the number themselves?!

Strawberries and homemade ice cream are our favorite way to eat strawberries!

9 06 2011
Chelsea

I tried counting the seeds on every strawberry in the case I bought at the store…but I got bored 😛 Thank goodness for Google–it says 200! Saved me a lot of work 🙂 My family’s favorite recipe is a humble strawberry shortcake with whip cream on top! Love the contrasting textures and the shortcake is benign enough to really showcase the deliciousness of a fresh strawberry (not to mention soak up all the precious juice!).

Well how about 200 🙂 seeds in each berry?! Just guessing! We’re pretty simple folk here, love them wash, sliced and sprinkled with sugar, if they need it!! My favorite thing to do with all the surplus strawberries, is to make strawberry rhubarb jam or strawberry jalapeno jam, I also make a truly yummy strawberry lemon marmalade!

My son and I (he’s 5) like to make fresh fruit smoothies with strawberries, bananas, vanilla yogurt, milk & honey. YUM!

There are 200 seeds in the average strawberry. We love strawberry popsicles and chocolate covered strawberries

10 06 2011
Leslie Mekelburg

Staying with the google answer I’ll say 199 seeds in a strawberry. There are two schools of thought at our house on how to eat strawberries: one is chocolate dipped and the other is dipped in powered sugar. The absolute best way is to buy the Chocolate Covered Strawberries from the Kopper Kettle Chocolate Store in Van Buren Arkansas. They wrap the entire berry in fondant and then dip it in chocolate. Messy but delicious!
